Romania's Arctic Sees Increase in Sales in 2004

Romanian refrigerator maker Arctic, which is majority-owned by Turkey's Arcelik, reported that it had 120 million euro (approx. U.S. $157 million) in turnover last year, up from the 94 million euro in 2003.

The company reported domestic sales of 90 million euro (approx. $117.4 million) in 2004, up by 20 percent. Domestic sales are expected to reach 105 million euro (approx. $136.9 million) this year.

The company produces and sells Arctic refrigerators and distributes Turkish-built washing machines, vacuum cleaners, and televisions. (Reporter.gr)
