Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd announced that it is on target to sell over RM 1 billion (approx. U.S. $263 million) worth of Panasonic electrical and electronic products for its financial year ending March 31, 2005.
With slightly more than one quarter to go towards its 2005 financial year, managing director Jiro Tomotani said he was confident that the target could be met as Panasonic Malaysia had already achieved sales of RM 540 million (approx. $142 million) in the first half of the financial year.
The company is said to be one of the top electrical and electronic brands in Malaysia with leading market shares in TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, rice cookers, fans, and air-conditioners.
"We aim to register double-digit growth in sales next year as we are confident that demand would rise further with the anticipated growth in Malaysia's economy," Mr. Tomotani said. (The Star Online)
