Royal Appliance Names New CFO

Royal Appliance Mfg. Co., maker of Dirt Devil(R) and Royal(R) floor care products, announced that it has appointed Andrew Klaus to CFO.

With his new responsibilities, Mr. Klaus will continue to lead the development and maintenance of Royal's accounting principles, practices, and procedures. He will also oversee several areas including: general accounting, credit, financial accounting, tax, and risk management and information systems. Mr. Klaus was previously the company's corporate controller since October 1998.

Prior to joining Royal, Mr. Klaus served as the CFO and vice president of Finance for Numa Corporation. He has more than 17 years of accounting experience and has held various positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P. and Laventhol & Horwath, CPA's.

Mr. Klaus is a graduate of Kent State University (Kent, OH, U.S.) with a B.S. in Business Administration. He is also a certified public accountant (C.P.A.)
