RadioShack Corporation and InPhonic, Inc. announced an agreement whereby RadioShack is now offering wireless phones and service plans online.

An online activator of wireless devices, InPhonic distributes phones and service plans for major wireless carriers, including Sprint and Verizon. InPhonic will operate and manage RadioShack's online wireless store allowing customers the ability to research and buy mobile handsets and service plans through the Internet. Customers can order direct from a sales representative using a toll-free telephone number provided through the Web site, complete the transaction online using a credit card, debit card or check, or visit a RadioShack store with the information they discover on the Web site.

"By selecting InPhonic as our online wireless partner, we have added another level of sophistication and convenience for customers who wish to do their research or shopping online," said Stu Asimus, senior vice president, chief merchandising officer of consumer electronics retailer RadioShack. "Now, customers can look and compare handsets and service plans online, complete the transaction through our Web site, and have the product delivered directly to their workplace or home."
