ServiceBench, Inc., a provider of Web-based service supply chain management solutions, announced that LG Electronics, a leading global manufacturer of consumer electronics, appliances, and communications products, has launched its ServiceBench powered service supply chain.

With the new system, LG Electronics can rapidly dispatch technicians via the Internet from its pool of more than 1,700 service companies -- based on comprehensive customer requirements. Dispatches for service on LG’s wide variety of consumer electronics and appliances are automatically routed based on such key factors as servicer availability and customer location -- and calls are said to be immediately processed without delay.

With the new system, LG Electronics also can record and track information and trends about service levels and product performance. In addition, the manufacturer is implementing a warranty management solution.

“The ServiceBench system will significantly enhance LG Electronics’ ability to give our customers superior service founded on the cutting edge of technology,” stated Ted Lee, president LG Electronics Alabama Inc. “Improving lives through digital innovation is our top priority, and ServiceBench clearly shares this important goal.”
