Samsung Electronics plans to raise its annual revenue from sales of home appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines, to U.S. $10 billion by 2007.

In a press meeting at its Kwangju plant in South Cholla Province, Samsung Electronics said it has finished integrating its home appliance production plant in Korea, transferring facilities from Suwon industrial complex, Kyonggi Province, to Kwangju, about 329 km south of Seoul, maximizing the synergistic effect of the production facility.

With completion of the integration of the home appliance facility, it has set a goal of growing into a top-tier global home appliance brand by 2007, company officials said. (The Korean Times)
