Alliance Laundry Systems LLC, a commercial laundry equipment producer, announced that it will be re-entering the consumer market with its Speed Queen brand.
According to the company, the new line of commercial-built laundry appliances for the consumer market includes top- and front-load washers that include Energy Star(R) models. The line also features dryers -- including the company's stack dryer/dryer -- and a stack, front-loading washer and dryer.
Speed Queen previously maintained a presence in the consumer marketplace from 1908 through 1999. However, due to a change in ownership, parent company Alliance Laundry Systems was contractually prevented from selling consumer laundry equipment within the U.S. until Oct. 13, 2004.
"We are excited to be re-entering the consumer market," Tom L' Esperance, CEO of Alliance Laundry Systems LLC, said. "Our goal as a leading manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment is to bring that same reliability and quality to the home."
