Entries for Innovations 2005, the consumer technology design and engineering awards program sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), will be accepted through Oct. 4, 2004.
Since 1989, the Innovations awards program has given manufacturers and developers an opportunity to have their products judged by a preeminent panel of journalists, designers, and engineers, with the winning products showcased at the 2005 International CES to be held Jan. 6-9, 2005 in Las Vegas, NV, U.S.
Innovations 2005 recognizes the best designed and engineered products in more than 25 categories, including Audio, Digital Displays, Digital Imaging, Home Appliances, Home Theater, Integrated Home Systems, Personal Electronics, Small Office/Home Office, and Wireless Communications.
Now in its eighth year, the 2005 Best of Innovations award is given to the most highly honored products in their category. The Best of Innovations honorees will be announced Nov. 10, 2004 at a pre-CES press conference at the Time Warner Center in New York, U.S. Honorees also are highlighted throughout the Innovations 2005 promotional materials and will be previewed in a special display in the Grand Lobby of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) during the 2005 International CES.
The Innovations awards program is open to all manufacturers and developers, regardless of whether they are exhibiting at CES. To submit products for Innovations 2005, log onto www.CESweb.org/innovations.
