Sears, Roebuck and Co. S.N , the largest U.S. department store chain, said it expects May sales at stores open at least a year to be down by a mid-single digit percentage. The May decline will mark the No. 4 U.S. retailer's 21st consecutive month of same-store sales declines.
The company said April same-store sales fell 8.5 percent. Sears had forecast an April same-store sales percentage decline in the mid-single digits. (Reuters)
