Fellowes, Inc. Announces Senior Management Appointments

Fellowes, Inc., an Itasca, IL, U.S.-based manufacturer of office supplies and appliances, has announced the appointment of Jude Rake as president COO and Jeff Nielson as vice president, Sales Planning.

Mr. Rake, who joined Fellowes in August 2003 as executive vice president and chief marketing officer, has also been elected to the Fellowes Board of Directors.

"For the past several years, we have been working to create a new business model based on the strength of our consumer brands and supported by a global supply chain," said James Fellowes, chairman and CEO. "We have required people to step up and drive change. New to Fellowes, Jude (Rake) has served as a high-impact change agent. Our progress in building a new business model also has been advanced by long-standing Fellowes associates who have embraced new ideas."

A nearly 25-year marketing veteran, Mr. Rake spent most of his career in the consumer packaged goods industry after working on nuclear power plants as a structural engineer with Bechtel. Prior to joining Fellowes, Mr. Rake served as COO of Consumer Imaging for the U.S. and Canada region of Eastman Kodak Company. In addition, he has managed brands and marketing teams at companies including The Clorox Company, Pepsi-Cola International, and S.C. Johnson Wax.

Mr. Rake received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Purdue University in Indiana, U.S. and his MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL, U.S.

Mr. Nielson has contributed to the Fellowes sales organization for more than 17 years. He began in field sales and rose to key account representation and sales management.

"Jeff's (Nielson) promotion recognizes his outstanding contribution to our company," Mr. Fellowes said. "His forward-thinking business skills have become an invaluable ingredient and fit very well within our overall business strategy."

Prior to Fellowes, Mr. Nielson managed store operations for Osco Drug Stores. He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from U.S.-based Wartburg College.
