Linens 'n Things Names President/COO

Linens 'n Things, Inc., the Clifton, N.J.-based retailer of home textiles, housewares, and home accessories, has announced it has hired Jack Moore as president and COO. Mt. Moore will report directly to Norman Axelrod, CEO and chairman of the board.

Audrey Schlaepfer, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Tony Donofrio, senior vice president and chief supply chain officer, and Tim White, senior vice president, Marketing will report directly to Mr. Moore.

Bill Giles, executive vice president and CFO, Dave Coder, senior vice president, Store Operations, Brian Silva, senior vice president, Human Resources, Administration and corporate secretary, Jeff Steinhorn, senior vice president, CIO and Brian Tilzer, divisional vice president, Strategy, will report directly to Mr. Axelrod.

Mr. Moore was formerly employed at Kohl's where he held several leadership positions during its growth. He was most recently executive vice president, general merchandise manager of Home and Footwear. During his tenure at Kohl's, he also had responsibility for its planning/allocation and marketing functions. Prior to his 7 years at Kohl's, Mr. Moore spent 19 years at Dayton-Hudson Department Stores where, in addition to significant merchandising roles, he also spearheaded the redesign of its supply chain management process in addition to several years in store management roles.

Mr. Moore attended the University of South Dakota in South Dakota, U.S., where he received his bachelor of science degree in Business Administration.
