Samsung India Expects Higher Flat TV Sales This Year

Samsung India Electronics Limited said it expects the contribution of flat TVs in total TV sales to grow to 50 percent by the end of this year.
"We are hoping to grow our Flat TV contribution from its current level of 32 percent at the end of the first quarter to 40 percent by the end of the second quarter," said R Zutshi, Samsung India director of Sales. "By the end of this year, we are expecting our Flat TV contribution to grow to over 50 percent," he added.
The company also announced the launch of an exchange offer to develop the market of flat televisions and help customers upgrade to the latest technology.
Mr. Zutshi said the exchange offer would be valid until June 30 and invites Indian consumers to upgrade to a Samsung flat TV of their choice by returning any of the their old, working condition, 20-in and above curved TVs.
The company also introduced a 15-in flat television in the market. (PTI)
