South Korean-based Samsung Electronics announced the launch of a road show that will visit five Southeast Asian countries showcasing home appliances.
The consumer electronics company said it is to introduce more than 30 home appliances in the show, which will visit Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines this month after its opening in Thailand.
The company has plans to increase its sales in Southeast Asia by 20 percent this year by boosting sales of high-value goods and strengthening its distribution network. The value of the region's electronics market was estimated at nearly U.S. $20 billion in 2002, according to the company's research. (The Korea Times)
