Distributor Al Ghandi Electronics, based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced that it will sell Whirlpool Corporation's new Window and Split Air-Conditioner range.
The appliances will come with features such as a one-touch 6th Sense button, jet and turbo settings, air purification and dehumidification mode, and inverter technology, which is said to result in higher efficiency and lower energy consumption.
The 6th Sense button is said to automatically select the operating mode (heating, cooling, or dehumidification according to the room conditions) and will reach an ideal, pre-set temperature. This means the next time the appliance is switched on, it will remember the last desired setting.
The "jet" setting is a fast-cooling function that reportedly cools rooms in the shortest time possible on hot summer days, adjusting the temperature in the quickest possible time.
The air control setting activates the air purifying dust filters as well as active carbon filters to take out smaller particles and unpleasant odors from the air. It also dehumidifies the air, according to Whirlpool.
The compact indoor unit comes with remote control operation allowing function, temperature, and airflow to be controlled from the sofa and a timer option enables users to program different operating modes. (AME Info)
