Home Appliance(TM) magazine, a new magazine for consumers who want to research and learn about the latest features and styles in new appliances, was debuted at K/BIS in Chicago, IL, U.S., on April 2-4, prior to hitting the newsstands last week.

The response from the industry was tremendous. There was a unanimous response from kitchen designers that Home Appliance will serve a real need in the marketplace. Kitchen designers are expected to know all about the latest and greatest appliances when a client comes to them to design a new home or remodel an existing space. Home Appliance will bring that information to them quarterly. Retailers were enthusiastic about Home Appliance as a vehicle to educate consumers and their own salespeople.

With the Spring/April issue hitting the newsstands on April 13, consumers may purchase Home Appliance at bookstores such as Barnes & Noble, B. Dalton, Borders, Waldenbooks, Hastings, Tower, and Books-A-Million (BAM). Home improvement centers, including Lowe's, Expo Design Center, and The Great Indoors, will carry the magazine. In addition, independent appliance retailers across the country are signing up daily to carry the magazine in their stores.

The national media coverage of Home Appliance is expanding. Karen Klages of the Chicago Tribune had this to say: "...in the premiere Spring issue, readers/shoppers will find all sorts of quick-hit information on a medley of products. A longer story on ovens and ranges is impressive in its knowledge of manufacturers' offerings."
