Hitachi Launches 'Hitachi Atom' Split Air-Conditioners

Hitachi Home and Life Solutions (India) (HHLI) has launched what is says is the smallest split air-conditioner, the Hitachi Atom, in Ahmedabad, India.
The air-conditioner uses Lambda coil technology.
“The Hitachi Atom split air-conditioner is two-thirds of the size of conventional split air-conditioners and is a blend of two…technologies, Lambda and power-saving technology,” Amit Doshi, vice-president, marketing and service operations, HHLI, said.
Hitachi commands a 12-percent share of the organized market for air-conditioners in India putting it amongst the top three players in the industry. (Associated Press)
