Freedom Grill Awarded Patent for Transportable Grill

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted Freedom Grill, Inc. (Poway, CA, U.S.) U.S. Patent Number US 6,701,913 B1 "Swingable Apparatus Attachable to a Vehicle for Transporting a Cooking Device and Permitting Access to the Vehicle" for the company's flagship product.
The FG-100, which the company calls "The Official Grill of Tailgating(TM)," is designed for pickup trucks, SUVs, and RVs to provide the convenience and quality of a backyard grill on the road, according to the company. Catering to the ever-growing demands of the "extreme tailgating" crowd, Freedom Grill Inc. has reportedly created a high-quality gas grill that is ideal for tailgating as well as camping.
The Freedom Grill attaches to the back of any vehicle with a standard 2-in hitch receiver, keeping it outside of the vehicle. The grill swings away from the vehicle during use.
After cooking, the fast-cooling grill can be locked in place for driving. Designed for portability and high performance, the FG-100 is also said to be engineered for safety and convenience.
The FG-100(TM) reportedly features the following:

Attaches to vehicle's 2-in hitch receiver
Pass-through collar allows use with extended ball mount for towing other items
180-degree, swing-out arm with lock
