Eureka Announces Appointments

Floor care maker The Eureka Company announced it has named three positions at its Bloomington, IL, U.S.-based headquarters.

Jennifer Hughey was named vice president, Logistics and Consumer Service. Ms. Hughey has held positions for key business areas within the organization, including service sales and marketing, warranty sales and administration, call center, direct-to-consumer, and overall customer management. Her additional responsibilities include management of the logistics and supply planning functions.

Ms. Hughey joined Eureka in March 2003, assisting in the development and implementation of strategic plans and initiatives for various business units.

Jan Wolansky has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief financial officer for Eureka. Mr. Wolansky has responsibility for all aspects of Finance and Information Technology for all North American floor care. Mr. Wolansky comes to Eureka following a career at ExxonMobil, where he held a series of increasingly responsible financial roles.

Tim Smith has been named vice president of Logistics for Eureka. Mr. Smith has responsibility for managing the El Paso and Service distribution centers, outbound freight, and merchandise fulfillment. He also leads the development of the supply chain strategy.

Mr. Smith previously worked as vice president of Logistics of Mill's Pride and also worked at Playtex Products, Inc. as the director of Supply Chain Planning and served as a principal consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers Management Consulting Services as Director-Inventory Planning and Logistics at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Mr. Smith began his career in Logistics at GE Automotive Lighting.
