Energizer Holdings, Inc., the parent company of razor manufacturer Schick-Wilkinson Sword, has filed a patent infringement suit against The Gillette Company.

Energizer is charging that Gillette's flagship products sold under the Mach3, Mach3Turbo, and Venus brands infringe three Schick patents. Filed on Feb. 13 in Federal District Court in Connecticut, U.S., the lawsuit seeks an injunction against further infringement and monetary damages.

"Schick has an extensive worldwide portfolio of patents in the shaving field resulting from significant investment of resources to develop innovative shaving products," said Joseph Lynch, president, Schick-Wilkinson Sword. "Our patents are valuable assets, and Schick will continue to protect them from all forms of infringement."
