General Electric will offer early retirement to 30 more employees at its Appliance Park operations in Louisville, KY, U.S. The retirements will take place on April 1, said Kim Freeman, GE spokeswoman.

The cuts are part of a plan announced in December to cut costs at the company's appliance unit by more than its traditional 5 percent annually.

The company announced the first round of early retirements on Feb. 1, which affected 130 employees. (The Courier-Journal)
