AHR Expo 2004 Sets Exhibiting Record

The 56th annual International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) took place in Anaheim, CA, U.S. on Jan. 26-28, 2004, making it the largest West Coast AHR Expo in the event's history.

APPLIANCE editors attended the Expo along with more than 1,650 exhibiting companies displaying HVAC&R technology and innovations in the 324,590-sq-ft of exhibiting space at the Anaheim Convention Center. More than 50,000 attendees were expected to visit during the 3-day show.

Exhibiting companies displayed new product designs, innovative project prototypes, and products improved with new industry standards and trends. An estimated 407 companies displayed new products, and 198 companies showcased indoor air quality products. An average of 225 companies were first-time exhibitors, while 227 exhibitors represented 34 countries at this year's event.

Officially opening on Monday, Jan. 26, the AHR Expo featured a Software Center where exhibitors displayed design programs, inventory controls, and service management packages, and also demonstrated new and upgraded software programs. The Building Automation Center featured products for building automation, energy management systems, climate controls, network integration protocols, and Internet connectivity, while the New Product Technology Theaters allowed visitors to learn about new products and possible applications.

The 57th annual AHR Expo is set to take place on Feb. 7-9, 2005 in Orlando, FL, U.S.
