The IEC Subcommittee 59F is responsible for preparing international performance standards for floor care appliances.

The U.S. Technical Advisory Group is tasked with developing and communicating U.S. positions on performance standards and related issues to the IEC 59F subcommittee through ANSI. Daniel Miller, laboratory staff engineer at The Hoover Company and an AHAM member, will continue to serve as the Technical Advisor (TA) to the U.S. TAG and official delegate to the IEC Subcommittee 59F.
