National Instruments (Austin, TX, U.S.) and Panasonic Computer Solutions Company (Matsushita) has announced a cooperative effort to deliver portable data acquisition systems to engineers and scientists working in harsh environments through the NI Measurement Ready Systems Program.

As a member of the program, Panasonic is now included in the new Web-based Measurement Ready Systems Advisor, a tool that helps engineers find the best computer platform for their measurement application. Engineers may use the advisor to order Panasonic Toughbooks(R), which meet military performance standards, with an evaluation copy of NI LabVIEW 7 Express graphical development software preinstalled. With LabVIEW, engineers can fully customize their test and measurement systems for increased productivity in applications ranging from automotive test to field monitoring.
