VCMA Reports Record Vacuum Shipments Jan 19, 2004 |

The Vacuum Cleaner Manufacturers Association reported shipments of upright, canister, and stick vacuums in 2003 reached an all-time industry high of over 20 million units. The record-breaking year totaled 20,415,286 units, a 3.4 percent increase over 2002 levels.
For the month of December 2003, the association reported industry shipments of 1,758,785 units, a 14.9 percent increase over December 2002.
