Daewoo Electronics (Austin, TX, U.S.), a manufacturer of household electronic appliances, has announced plans to incorporate Cirrus Logic Inc. technology to meet consumer demand for theater-quality functionality in its DR-C9A1D1 home cinema systems.

Daewoo has selected the Cirrus CS98100 DVD processor for its line of DVD/VCR Home Theater Combo Systems, which are expected to soon be available in the U.K, France, and Germany, with future retail distribution plans in North America and Asia.

The Daewoo Home Cinema includes the Cirrus CS4228 high-performance audio codec, which provides two analog-to-digital and six digital-to-analog Delta Sigma converters, along with volume controls in a 28-pin SSOP device.
