Aga Ranges, Inc. (Cherry Hill, NJ, U.S.) announced that Avir Distribution, LTD. of Montreal has been named the official Aga distributor for Eastern Canada, including the Province of Quebec and the Maritimes.
Aga Ranges, the U.S. subsidiary of Aga Foodservice Group of Birmingham, England, says the agreement helps the company to acheive its plan to aggressively expand sales of Aga cookers in North America.
"Canada is a very important market for Aga and we are very pleased and proud to add Avir and its outstanding team to the Aga distribution system," said Andrea M. Moravsky, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Aga Ranges, Inc. "Their reputation for integrity, honesty, and customer service is well-known in Eastern Canada, and it is consistent with Aga's own heritage and commitment to quality products and service. "
Avir Distribution will be offering the entire range of Aga cookers, including the traditional two-oven and four-oven Aga and the Aga Companion, a slim dual-fuel cast iron range.
"Avir Distribution will also be offering two new Aga products, including the Aga Six-Four series, which fuses Aga's famous styling and four electric ovens with six gas burners instead of hot plates, and the Aga Cookmaster, a smaller Aga with two radiant heat ovens and one graduated heat hotplate which can hold up to five saucepans," said Dan Durand, Aga Ranges, Inc.'s regional sales manager for the East Coast.
"Avir will also offer cookware, including coordinated color cast iron, stainless steel, cast aluminum, and color coordinated accessories such as aprons, towels, and oven gloves," Mr. Durand added.
With the addition of Avir for distribution in Eastern Canada, Aga says it now has complete distribution throughout Canada and the United States. Northern Pacific Appliance of Burnaby, British Columbia handles distribution for Aga in the Western portion of Canada.
