Appliance maker Sharp Indonesia said it hopes to achieve sales at Rp2.2 trillion (U.S. $256 million) in the year ending March 2004, up from Rp1.8 trillion in the previous 12 months.
Jino Sugianto, sales director of the company, said monthly sales in the next 5 months from November to March is predicted to rise 70 percent from the monthly sales before.
Mr. Jino said in the 7 months until October the company already recorded sales dominated by TV sets and refrigerators valued at Rp1.4 trillion.
Sharp Indonesia has a 26.6-percent share of refrigerator market in the country and this year its sales of refrigerators are predicted to reach 1.4 million units. (ANTARA)
