The 24th annual International Trade Fair Refrigeration, Air Conditioning Ventilation (IKK) trade show ended on a strong note, and VDKF Wirtschafts-und Informationsdienste GmbH, IKK’s promoter, considers the show a success this year, according to the trade show’s closing report. IKK 2003, which took place in early October in Hannover, Germany, garnered support from 770 exhibitors from 42 countries and drew in 20,628 visitors.
Christian Scholz, president of VDKF e.V., said he is satisfied with the turnout and the show’s success, especially because it has remained strong even in difficult economic times for many companies throughout the world.
Rudolph Pütz, general manager of VDKF, added that this is especially noteworthy because IKK was successful while other "capital goods exhibitions all over the world are registering substantial drops in the number of visitors," according to the report.
A survey of exhibitors bears out this assertion. According to a survey of exhibitors that was conducted, 89 percent of them rated their participation as "favorable" after 3 days of exhibiting. Additionally, 89 percent also said they were satisfied with the organization and service of IKK 2003, and 92 percent of the exhibiting companies said they reached their target audience at the show.
