Fedders International Headquarters to Move to Shanghai

Fedders Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of air treatment products, including air-conditioners, air cleaners, dehumidifiers and humidifiers, and thermal technology products, announced that it will relocate its international headquarters office to Shanghai. The new international headquarters, which will be located in Raffles City in downtown Shanghai, will manage all sales and marketing activities outside of the Americas, and provide manufacturing, quality, global sourcing, and logistics support for the company's six manufacturing facilities in China, as well as its plants in the Philippines and India. In conjunction with the move, Rick Essex, Vice President, International, will relocate to Shanghai from the Fedders corporate headquarters in New Jersey. Mr. Essex stated, "China has become our primary production base as well as a strategic high-growth market for the company. Fedders is the largest exporter of air conditioners from China and we intend to leverage this strength to continue penetrating other high-growth markets such as India and the Philippines, as well as strengthen our distribution in Europe of all the company's products."
