RadioShack Launches Line Targeting "Wellness"Market

RadioShack said it was bringing to market a suite of products aimed at the "ellness"market. The personal care health products include a wireless heart monitor, a blood pressure monitor and several home comfort products. The retailer is launching the products under a new brand, LifeWise. About 20 SKUs will be in the line.

RadioShack said the brand will also be supported with a Web site, lifewiseonline.com.

Christiane Pendarvis, vice president of Merchandising for connecting things at RadioShack, said the launch reflects the retailer’s commitment to "making products affordable and accessible." Ms. Pendarvis said the line features "well-priced, easy-to-use products that respond to consumers’ increasing desires to achieve improved health, personal balance and overall well-being."
