Seiko Epson Corp. said it has raised its group profit forecast for the half year and full year of fiscal 2003 due to a strong performance in its electronics device businesses, particularly those related to mobile phones.
In its revised consolidated earnings forecast, the electronics device maker said it now expects a net profit of 13 billion yen (approximately U.S. $116.6 million) for the half year to Sept. 30, revised upward from the 8 billion yen ($71.7 million) projected in August. (Kyodo News)
