Sony Corp does not plan to expand its equity stake in a fifty-fifty mobile-phone joint venture with Sweden's Telefon AB L.M. Ericsson in the immediate future, Sony's president said.
However, Kunitake Ando expressed dissatisfaction with Sony Ericsson's current 5- to 6-percent share in the global handset market. He also said he wants to see the company's annual handset sales volume to double to the 50-million level. (Kyodo News)
