Daewoo Electronics is advancing on the wireless home appliance market, the company said. Daewoo said it has joined with ViXS Systems, a leading video-over-IP (Internet protocol) network solutions provider, to develop technologies to enable streaming of high-definition audiovisual content on wireless networks and related home appliance products.
Its video networking technology, which uses the 802.11a standard, supports high-quality wireless transmission of video.
Daewoo Electronics said it will work first to develop point-to-point media access equipment. (Korea Times)
