Matsushita Electric Industrial Co said it will set up a digital networking multimedia software development base for developing mainly communication software in Cyberjaya, a suburb of Kuala Lumpur, on Oct 1.
The leading consumer electronics maker known for its Panasonic brand products said the wholly owned subsidiary, Panasonic R&D Center Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. which will have a capital of 1 million ringgit or about 30 million yen, will aim to strengthen development and design capabilities for multimedia-related products in Malaysia and to recruit local personnel.
