DACOR announced the introduction of the Millennia™ Electric Glide™ Cooktops. The new 36in METB365 and 30-in MET304 cooktops reportedly deliver high-performance cooking without compromising a sophisticated appearance.
Both models feature the exclusive Electric Glide controls allowing users to slide their finger across the ceramic glass top to control temperature settings. A lighted strip increases in size and changes color from yellow to orange to red. Another feature is the ribbon elements with a 3-sec response. Extra safety is said to be provided by including a heat limiter on each element to prevent empty cookware from melting or damaging the glass surface. Also, a special heat indicator light remains lit while any burner is active or too hot to touch.

The METB365 model features the added convenience of a bridge element, which links two separate burners to create a continuous platform of radiant heat. The bridge element is said to be perfect for using oversized cookware or a DACOR accessory griddle.

Available in two finishes including black with satin trim and black graphite, the Millennia Electric Glide Cooktops reportedl offer design flexibility options that include island, peninsula, and wall setting environments.
