Zamil CoolCare of Saudi Arabia has formed a strategic business alliance with U.S. Chiller Services, a repair and service firm handling large capacity chillers.
The alliance has already received its first joint maintenance contract, with the King Fahd Military Medical Complex (KFMMC) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The 3-year contract involves maintaining a number of U.S.-made centrifugal chillers that provide a total cooling of nearly 7,600 tons. The scope of work also includes performing eddy current testing for optimizing the equipment performance.
The CoolCare/U.S. Chillers alliance is designed to address a long-felt market need, combining CoolCareÕs strong in-house workforce and U.S. ChillersÕ expertise in servicing larger equipment to service customers in and around Saudi Arabia.
U.S. Chiller Services is a California-headquartered company with offices in San Francisco; Houston, TX; and Miami, FL. It specializes in repair, maintenance, retrofit, service and installation of all international makes and models of large capacity liquid chillers (centrifugal, screw, and absorption types), from 100 tons to 10,000 tons.
Zamil CoolCare, with more than 500 employees, is a premier HVAC service organization in Saudi Arabia and is one of the strategic business units of Zamil Air Conditioners.
Zamil Air Conditioners, one of the unit companies of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC), is the largest supplier of air-conditioners in the Middle East. It manufactures and markets a range of products, from room air-conditioners to package units to large-capacity air-conditioners for commercial and industrial applications.
In recent years Zamil Air Conditioners' ambitious growth strategy has included the expansion of product lines through three ZIIC acquisitions in Europe. These acquisitions included Clima Tech, Geoclima, and most recently the technology and brand name acquisition of Kessler Tech, a well-known name for air handling units in Germany. Zamil Air Conditioners says it is also moving into newer markets, seeking strategic alliances, and investing heavily in R&D.
