China State Statistics Bureau Commissioner Zhu Zhixin expects GDP to rise 7 percent on-year in 2003; that's probably consistent with government target expected to be announced by Premier Zhu Rongji at next week's National People's Congress; it's also same as forecast adopted since 1999 and in line with long-range ambition to quadruple economy based on 2000 GDP by 2020.
