Miele Australia has introduced a new generation of washing machines and tumble dryers. All 2003 Miele washing machines have an increased load capacity of 5.5 kg. As washing machines are frequently not loaded to their full capacity, the new flagship model will be equipped with a load size and dispensing recommendation indicator, providing the user with clear information on how much detergent to dispense for individual loads.
Top-of-the-range models will also feature Miele’s new, patented honeycomb drum, which prevents fabrics from being forced into the drum perforations by centrifugal force. The hexagonal pattern in the drum effectively ensures that the load glides on a thin film of water during the wash, combining unbeatable washing results with extremely gentle action.
The sophisticated drive concept on the top-of-the-range W 487 WPS Softtronic consists of a brushless asynchronous motor with frequency converter that not only assists in achieving maximum spin speeds of up to 1,800 r.p.m., but also facilitates positive and precise braking of the drum at the end of the cycle.
