Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas and Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. announced an agreement establishing Nu Horizons as an authorized distributor for Sharp’s full line of microcontrollers, memory, optoelectronics, and LCD display products. The agreement encompasses selling rights for North America.
Under the terms of the partnership, Nu Horizons will represent Sharp’s core digital technologies and components for Internet appliances, industrial, telecommunications, and home/office automation markets in North America.
"When developing distribution agreements, we look to partner with companies that understand the design requirements of our customers," said Qais Sharif, Vice President of Sales for Sharp Microelectronics of the Americas. "Nu Horizons’ limited semiconductor line card and its focused engineering
resources make it a good resource to promote Sharp’s products, particularly system-on-chip. Nu Horizons has a demonstrated track record of working with our target customers from the earliest stages of the design process to provide exactly the right components and technical expertise for their
entire system design."
