Sanyo Electric Co. will pull the plug on production of home-use freezers in Japan and farm out the work to Haier Group Co. of China possibly from this summer, company officials said. The move is aimed at reducing production costs and Haier is capable of manufacturing high-quality products, the officials said. (Kyodo News)
