Personal care appliance maker Helen of Troy Ltd., in conjunction with Mississippi Governor Ronnie Musgrove, the Mississippi Development Authority, DeSoto County, and Southaven officials, today announced that the company has completed the purchase of a 619,000-sq-ft warehousing facility in Southaven, MS, U.S., as its new eastern U.S. distribution center. The new facility will be in IDI's Airway Distribution Center.

Gerald J. Rubin, chairman, CEO, and president of Helen of Troy, praised the new location stating: "Helen of Troy couldn't be more pleased with the selection of Southaven as the site for our eastern United States distribution center. This distribution center replaces leased warehouse space of approximately 300,000 sq ft and will provide additional space for our newly acquired Hair and Skin Care Products Division and for projected increased sales in our other product categories, by warehousing a variety of our existing personal care products. After an extensive search, we are confident that we have chosen the right location to make this project successful. The cooperation and support from the people of Mississippi at the local and state level has been tremendous."
