Philips to Move Hungary Monitors to China Jan 14, 2003 |

Dutch Philips Electronics NV said it planned to move production of cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors from Hungary to China. The move, aimed at boosting competitiveness amid market pressures and price erosion, will involve a headcount reduction in Hungary of around 500, Philips said in a statement.
