Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC), which recently received Eurovent certification and an upgrade of its quality systems certification to ISO 9001 standards, has now been given certification on its chillers and unitary products from the U.S. Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI).
ARI standards establish rating criteria and procedures for measuring and certifying product performance. Products are therefore rated on a uniform basis, so buyers and users can make informed purchase and use decisions.
ZAC products and the corresponding ARI certifications include:
Air-cooled reciprocating and screw water chillers, Classic Series AWX, ASX-A, and ASX-B, in cooling capacities up to 200 Tons, 60 Hz, were certified to ARI Standard 550 / 590-98.
Package units and central split unitary products, Classic Series PX and BX / CX, with cooling capacities to 5 Tons, 60 Hz, were certified to ARI Standard 210 / 240.
Package units and central splits, Classic Series PX and BX / CX, with cooling capacities from 5 tons to 20 tons, 60 Hz, were certified to ARI Standard 340 / 360.
The products were certified by ARI through the Intertek Testing Services / ETL in Courtland, New York. ZAC says it is the first producer in the Middle East to receive such ARI certification, and it currently is working toward obtaining ARI and Eurovent certification for its air handling units (KW Series) and fan coil units (DWX / DWL Series).
ZAC, one of the unit companies of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC), is the largest supplier of air-conditioners in the Middle East. It produces and markets a variety of air-conditioners, from room air-conditioners to package units to large capacity air-conditioners for commercial and industrial application.
