Executive Changes at Robert Bosch GmbH

Robert Bosch GmbH said that the chairman of its supervisory council, Dr. Wolfgang Eychmüller, will resign from office effective June 30, 2003, after serving on the board for 25 years. At the same time he will also resign as a general partner of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG. Bosch, based in Stuttgart, Germany, is a global producer of household and commercial appliances, power tools, packaging equipment, and security systems.

Dr. Hermann Scholl, a member since 1975 and chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH since 1993, will resign from the board of management on June 30, 2003.

Following a decision of the shareholders of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, he will join the supervisory council of Robert Bosch GmbH and will be nominated for election as chairman. As a general partner of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, he will remain chairman of the shareholders meeting. Effective July 1, 2003, Dipl.-Ing. Hans Peter Stihl will become his deputy, succeeding Dr. Wolfgang Eychmüller.

The deputy chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, Tilman Todenhöfer, will resign from the board of management on December 31, 2003, and will join the supervisory council on January 1, 2004. The shareholders of Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG elected Tilman Todenhöfer, previously a limited partner, as general partner, succeeding Dr. Wolfgang Eychmüller effective July 1, 2003.

Franz Fehrenbach was appointed chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH, effective July 1, 2003. Mr. Fehrenbach joined Bosch on April 1, 1975, and has been a member of the board of management since July 1, 1999. He will also join Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG as a limited partner on July 1, 2003.

Dr. Siegfried Dais (54) will become the new deputy chairman of the board of management of Robert Bosch GmbH on January 1, 2004. Mr. Dais joined Robert Bosch GmbH on October 1, 1979, and has been a member of the board of management since July 1, 1999.

Effective July 1, 2003, Dr. Bernd Bohr will become chairman of the automotive technology business sector, taking over this responsibility from Dr. Hermann Scholl. Mr. Bohr joined Bosch on December 1, 1983, and has been a member of the board of management since July 1, 1999.

The Bosch Group presently has about 225 000 employees worldwide and will achieve 2002 sales of approximately 35 billion Euro, which represents an increase of about 2.5 percent over the previous year.
