Reichhold Adds Global Manager for Powder Coating

Reichhold, Inc. said today that Alexander "Zan" May, Jr. joined the company as global business manager for the growing powder coatings segment of the Global Coating and Performance Resins division. Mr. May is responsible for the strategic development, positioning, and integration of new technologies for powder coatings and will oversee its global marketing team.

"Reichhold is committed to expanding our powder business and meeting increased demand in the industry," said Wolfgang Regele, vice president of marketing for Global Coating and Performance Resins. "Zan's extensive business development experience and proven success in the coatings industry along with our plans to increase powder coatings production at two of our global facilities will help Reichhold meet these goals and secure its place as a global leader in the powder coatings market."

Prior to joining Reichhold, Mr. May spent more than 12 years working at The Dow Chemical Company where he most recently served as a senior market executive in the company's polyolefins and elastomers business.  In this role, he was responsible for the North American market strategy, customer development, and profitability of the Industrial Films market segment.

Mr. May holds a bachelor's of science in corporate finance and investment management from the University of Alabama. Mr. May is based in Reichhold's corporate headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC, U.S. 

Reichhold supplies unsaturated polyester resins, coatings, and performance resins for the appliances, coatings, plastics, and other markets. Celebrating its 75th anniversary, Reichhold has manufacturing operations throughout North America, Latin America, and Europe. The company is a subsidiary of Tokyo's Dainippon Ink & Chemicals.
