Canon Inc. plans to double monthly production of digital cameras at a plant in Malaysia to 200,000 units in 2003, its president said. But Fujio Mitarai told a press conference that the Japanese camera maker has no plans to make additional investment or increase the number of employees to double the production. (Kyodo News)
