Whirlpool Announces Contest Winners

Whirlpool Home Appliances unveiled a list of 10 finalists for its first-ever Accubake Oven Unique Cake contest. The company worked with world-renown pastry chef Gale Gand to sift through more than 400 entries and selected 10 people to participate in a cake-off next month at the Insperience Studio in Atlanta, GA, U.S., Whirlpool Corporation's new interactive appliance facility.

The 10 finalists were chosen based not only on their cake recipe, but the unique story behind each one. From time-honored family treasures to cakes that were whipped together at the last minute, there were entries from all 50 states.

Following is a list of the 10 finalists and their winning recipes:

Each of the 10 finalists will receive a Whirlpool Accubake range and the all expense paid trip to Atlanta for the cake-off. The winner will receive U.S. $10,000 and make an appearance on morning TV shows across the U.S.
