Merloni Considering Leningrad Facility

Italian appliance maker Merloni Elettrodomestici is considering investing 40 million Euro (U.S. $44 million) in building a factory in the Leningrad region to produce parts for its home appliances, according to a report from The Moscow Times. A Merloni delegation, which had talks with Leningrad regional authorities, said that it also plans to construct plants in the Yekaterinburg and Lipetsk regions, the report said.
