Toshiba Corp. said it will repair or replace free of charge 51,500 units of its personal digital assistant (PDA) devices due to battery-related problems that may result in loss of data. Toshiba did not disclose the cost for the move, but assuming all of the devices are replaced for free, it would mean a 3.6 billion yen loss for Toshiba, industry analysts say. (Kyodo News)
