Danfoss Subsidiary in Slovenia Celebrates Anniversary

Danfoss' Slovenia manufacturing facility announced it is celebrating is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The company, which is based in the south-eastern Slovenian town of Crnomelj, was created after Slovenian home appliances producer Gorenje sold its cooling compressors' factory to the Danish company Danfoss.

The company plans to increase its compressors production to 5.5 million pieces a year while keeping the number of employees at the current level.

At the moment, the company produces some 4.2 million compressors a year and holds a 4-percent share in the world market. Thus, the company is the largest employer in the southeastern Slovenian region of Bela Krajina and has a strong influence on the unemployment level in the region. Future plans include more focus on training and environment protection.
